We enable our destination and venue clients to secure a larger percentage of international association business and give them a strong return on investment.  One of our roles is to act as an extension of your convention sales team.

Usually our clients are ICCA members with access to the ICCA database. Watterson Associates will develop the Association sales leads for your Convention Centre or Bureau, speaking to Association Executives with whom we have an excellent relationship and providing an intense lead qualification system.

We are proud to have been one of the very first consultancies in the conference industry specialising in international association research and our team of five, Julie Watterston, Mary Lewsey, Janet Rossiter, Gayle Greenwood and Frances Wiseman have extensive knowledge in this field. Linda Elsdon is our venue-finding specialist and works with us on a project basis subject to her other event management commitments for major organisations and venues.

Our staff are dedicated, loyal and long-serving and we therefore have a very senior team who are fully experienced in all aspects of the meetings industry but especially in international association research, in-market events, familiarisation trips and other client functions and promotional activities.

With our specialism in the Association market, we have built excellent relationships with a large number of international association executives and regularly organise client dinners, breakfasts, hospitality events and European roadshows for our destination clients to meet with the international association decision makers. We also work with various exhibition organisers assisting with the procurement of Hosted Buyers to the main industry trade shows such as IMEX Frankfurt, IMEX America, The Meetings Show, MEETEX Croatia etc.
